Welcome! My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam. I have been a counselor for over 10 years, and I opened my private practice in 2020. With training in nervous system regulation and the mind-body connection, I have a passion for teaching others how to apply practical strategies to improve their wellbeing. While continuing to work with individuals in my private practice, I also have a strong desire to make tools that are available to many others all around the world. Wellness is a journey, not a destination! And we are on this journey together, sharing what we learn along the way
At home, I am a wife and a mom, with 4 children. My family was built through birth, foster care, and adoption. My children live with special needs, past trauma, and neurodivergent brains. They are the strongest, bravest children and they teach me every day. I am still learning how to advocate for their needs and how to be what they need as a parent.
I also live with chronic illness, likely directly related to my history of chronic stress. When I learned about the Polyvagal Theory in a professional training, the puzzle pieces began to fall into place. I have been on a journey to heal my nervous system for the past few years and I am so excited to share what has been life changing!
